With the support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Community Health Centers, Inc. (CHC) will be building a new Apopka Dental Center. The new Apopka Dental Center will be located at 210 E. 7th Street, Apopka, FL 32703. Community Health Centers, Inc. has been providing dental services to the Apopka community at the Apopka Family Health Center since 1979. The new Apopka Dental Center will provide adult dental care and establish new pediatric dental services. The project will Increase the dental operatories from 4 to 10, increase dental staff and improve patient access to quality and affordable dental services.
A ground breaking ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 24, at 12:00 pm. The agenda will include Mayor John Land, City of Apopka; Tanya Stewart, CEO, Community Health Centers, Inc.; Gregg Stewart, DMD, Dental Director, Community Health Centers, Inc.; and Marc Grossman, Board Chairperson, Community Health Centers, Inc.
Community Health Centers, Inc. received funding in the amount of $990,756 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act – Capital Improvement Program Grant. The total project cost for the new Apopka Dental Center is $1,079,307.
