Financial Resources
Community Health Centers (CHC) receives federal funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Bureau of Primary Health Care. These funds have by no means kept pace with the growing needs of our community or economic changes within the healthcare industry.
The balance of funding comes from Medicaid, Medicare, public and private insurance programs, patient payments, state and county service contracts, local grants, and fundraising events.
Governance and Administration
Community Health Centers, Inc. is governed by a ten-member Board of Directors. The Center’s bylaws and federal program regulation require that at least 51% of the Board be recipients of our services. The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board of Directors and is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the corporation.
Opportunities to Help
Community Health Centers relies on the kind heart of others, through direct donations, or through our yearly Golf Tournament to help fund the health, and quality of life of the local community in Central Florida. Every donation made provides an immediate impact in helping others.
