CHC receives federal funds from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Bureau of Primary Health Care. These funds have by no means kept pace with the growing needs of our community or economic changes within the healthcare industry. The balance of funding comes from Medicaid, Medicare, public and private insurance programs, patient payments, state and county service contracts, local grants and fundraising events.
Governance and Administration
Community Health Centers, Inc. is governed by a ten member Board of Directors. The Center’s bylaws and federal program regulation require that at least 51% of the Board be recipients of our services. The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board of Directors and is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the corporation.
