Community Health Centers is offering COVID-19 vaccine boosters according to the recently expanded recommendations from the CDC. There are now booster recommendations for all three COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States.

The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 booster vaccine is recommended for all patients 18 and older who received the vaccine two or more months ago.

Patients who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are eligible for a booster dose at six months or more after their initial series if they are in the CDC recommended group.

COVID-19 Vaccine booster is currently recommended for:

  • 65 years and older
  • Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
  • Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
  • Age 18+ who work or live-in high-risk environments (healthcare workers and first responders are included in this group)

Eligibility details can be found by clicking: COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shots | CDC.

Eligible patients may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose, even if the vaccine type is different from the original vaccine received. CDC’s most recent recommendations allow for “mix and match” dosing for booster shots.
