December 11, 2019 – (Winter Garden, FL) Community Health Centers, Inc. has announced that Jocelyn Pichardo, MD has been named Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the health system. Dr. Pichardo will assume the role in January. Dr. Pichardo will be succeeding the current CMO, Debra Andree, MD who is becoming the health system’s next President/CEO following Margaret Brennan’s upcoming retirement.

“Dr. Pichardo is a nurturing, compassionate and skilled physician who understands the vital role that community health centers serve. I believe that her experience and focus on quality patient care make her an ideal fit to serve as our next Chief Medical Officer,” said Dr. Debra Andree.

Dr. Pichardo earned her medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, and received her degree in Premedical Education from the University of Puerto Rico. She has more than 22 years of experience working in primary care, focusing on meeting the needs of uninsured and underinsured patients in community settings.

“I am looking forward to continuing to serve our patients and their families,” said Dr. Pichardo. “This is a very exciting time for our organization and our communities. I am honored to be a part of it.”

Dr. Pichardo has been with Community Health Centers, Inc. since 2015. Most recently, she served as Chief of Quality where she was responsible for quality improvement and assurance functions within the system.

Prior to joining Community Health Centers, Inc., Dr. Pichardo also served as a senior physician with the Osceola County Health Department, and as a Senior Physician and Chief Health Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections.

Dr. Pichardo is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Physicians Society of Central Florida.
