Groveland Family Health Center Building

WINTER GARDEN, FL…Community Health Centers, Inc. (CHC) received a grant award of $2,905 from the Community Foundation of Groveland in support of the Pediatric  Expansion Program within Community Health Centers Family, Pediatric & Dental Care center in Groveland.  The Community Foundation of Groveland provides assistance to community organizations whose programs enhance the quality of life in Groveland County.

CHC’s built a new replacement Groveland center which opened on April 12, 2011, providing expanded Family Practice care and Adult Dental care, and offering new Pediatric and Pediatric Dental care services.  CHC has been providing medical, dental and pharmaceutical services to the Groveland community since 1978.

The purpose of the grant funded Pediatric Expansion Program is to enhance and improve healthcare services for children within Groveland County.  Providing new Pediatric care where there was only Family Practice care will contribute directly to improved pediatric patient outcomes. As a result of this expansion, significant volume increases will occur in Pediatrics.  Given the needs within the Groveland County community, these gains will be dramatic in improving health outcomes and will do much to preserve young lives.  The grant request of $2,905 will be used for the purchase of medical equipment necessary for the care and treatment of pediatric patients.

Family Practice, Pediatric, and Adult and Pediatric Dental services are provided at the center.  The center is open 5 days a week on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm; Tuesday from 8 am to 8 pm; and Friday from 8 am to 1 pm.
